Asset Management

Asset management is a broad term that can be defined as a process that guides the gaining, use and disposal of assets in order to make the most of the assets and their potential throughout the life of the assets.

While doing this, it also manages and maintains any costs and risks associated with the assets. It is not something you can buy, but rather a discipline you must follow in order to maintain your assets.

SW19 have extensive experience in producing asset management plans for buildings and other physical assets which assess the current condition of the asset, potential risk to occupants and compliance with current standards through to the recommended Capital Expenditure required to maintain and upgrade the building.   

Our assessments provide a detailed breakdown of requirements, with clients able to use the software provided to manage their assets based upon the Driver (priority) for the works (OH&S, Statutory, Aesthetic), trade undertaking the works (Painter, Electrician etc) specific location for the works and so on.  The assessments include DDA, Asbestos, Building Condition, Building Structure, and Services.

The SW19 Inspection methodology provides the client with a holistic view of the property so that they can actively manage their buildings, making informed decisions based upon the information and risk assessments provided.  The costs included are linked to CPI and can also be linked to reflect the regional price variances.
